Mothering During a Genocide will be a gathering of mothers and parents as well as perinatal practitioners who support people during pregnancy, birth, postpartum and parenthood.
We wish to provide a forum where the voices and experiences of Palestinian mothers can be heard, and the impact upon their maternal mental health can be realised to foster advocacy and action in our communities.
We will also hear from an aboriginal Australian mother about the long term, intergenerational effects of genocide, particularly relevant to those living in the land that has been colonised as Australia.
