What we will explore together:
Whether you are currently TTC, newly pregnant, or nearing your guest of honour’s arrival, the people in your birth space (or the space you’re preparing in) are the gatekeepers of your physiological safety.
In this live 1-hour webinar, I will guide you as we explore how your physical, emotional and mental wellbeing n pregnancy, birth and beyond are all influenced by the care provider/s you choose to birth with. We will dive into:
Safety vs. Protocol - Why your body needs more than a "nice" provider to stay out of fight-or-flight.
The 5-Layer Audit - How to check that each facet of your health and wellbeing is considered and supported by your care provider.
The Objective Lens - Why vetting your team requires more than word of mouth or checking a google review.
*This is for informational purposes only. For medical advice or a diagnosis, consult a professional.
Birth isn’t just a physical event - it’s a transition.
As you stand on the threshold of matrescence, who is walking beside you?
Are you being managed or are you being held?

Why reflect with me?
When you speak to a midwife, a doctor, or even a doula, you are speaking to someone with a specific clinical or philosophical lens. They have "skin in the game" based on their training and the outcomes they are responsible for.
I am different.
As a Bowen therapist, perinatal yoga specialist, and matrescence coach, I sit in the centre of the circle. I have walked alongside parents choosing elective C-sections, and those choosing unassisted freebirths. I don’t have a clinical bias toward one type of birth; my only bias is toward your autonomy. I am here to help you peel back the layers and see your birth team for who they truly are (no matter how qualified), ensuring you are the one in the driver's seat of your own transformation.
My Lived Experience
I have been exactly where you are. In my first pregnancy, I sat in a waiting room for hours, convinced that my care provider’s recurrent lateness was a sign of his dedication to other birthing people. I justified the five-minute appointments and the rushed energy because he was "the best." But when it came to my birth, my simple wishes (delayed cord clamping, seeing my placenta) were ignored.
I was a patient, not a partner.
My second birth was different because I was different.
I spent the time researching, interviewing, and auditing my care until I found a guide who settled my nervous system. As a Bowen therapist, yoga specialist, and matrescence coach, I don't have the clinical bias of a doctor or midwife. I don’t care where or how you birth; I care that you are the primary authority in that room. I will support you to move from "waiting in the lobby" to standing in your power.
